The Yamaha MT-09 / FZ-09 (2013–2016) introduced a new generation of lightweight, torque-rich naked motorcycles. At the heart of the first-generation model is Yamaha's 847cc CP3 three-cylinder engine, combining a responsive crossplane-inspired firing character with an upright riding position, compact chassis and unmistakable single-headlight design. The Yamaha FZ-09 name was used in selected markets, including North America.
This collection brings together model-specific motorcycle lighting upgrades for the original Yamaha MT-09 / FZ-09, including Bi-LED and Bi-Xenon headlight conversion kits and a complete Aharon MotoLumino V2 sequential LED turn signal kit. All three upgrades target the original first-generation motorcycle; later MT-09 models have different headlights, indicator plugs and mounting components.
Bi-LED and Bi-Xenon headlight upgrades
The original MT-09 has a single halogen headlamp, which can be upgraded using our dedicated retrofit solutions. Our Bi-LED projector retrofit kit provides a modern LED alternative for low and high beam, while the HID Bi-Xenon headlight upgrade kit offers an alternative projector conversion. The available headlight products are listed below with their installation parts and model-year compatibility.
MotoLumino V2 sequential LED turn signal kit – MT-09 (2013–2016)
Upgrade all four original front and rear direction indicators with Aharon MotoLumino V2. The compact smoked-lens housings create a subtle look when switched off and illuminate progressively in bright amber when indicating. This first-generation MT-09 requires a special configuration using MLAC14 adapter cables, rather than the standard Yamaha Kit 1 MLAC12 cables used on later MT-09 models.
The complete four-indicator package includes 4 × MotoLumino V2 sequential LED turn signals, 4 × MLAC14 Yamaha wiring adapters, 4 × MLAP05 mounting plates, an LED flasher relay and four cable ties. Our indicator fitment data references original Yamaha front-right indicator 1KB-83320-00, front-left 1KB-83310-00, rear-right 1RC-83340-00 and rear-left 1RC-83330-00. Factory flasher relay reference: 4GY-83350-00. Check the original plugs and mounting points if your motorcycle was imported or previously modified.
Not for Yamaha MT-09 2017–2020 or 2021+. Those generations have their own model-specific MotoLumino V2 products and adapter configurations. Select the correct year group before ordering.
