Hey all,

In order to remove the Hella E55 projector assembly from ’07-08 Maxima’s, some have said that you don’t need to bake the headlight housings open, and others have said that you do. I found out tonight, that you do NOT need to bake them open.

I got bored/curious, and the Mechanical Engineer inside of me wanted to take something apart. I was indeed able to remove the projector assembly without separating the housing. I will be swapping the stock fresnel lenses, for clear ZKW-R’s. Here’s some photos for proof.

If you want to do a clear lens swap, don’t bake anything.
