The Aharon AvantiLED D-Series LED is purpose-built as a plug-and-play replacement for D-series xenon bulbs. It runs directly on your car's original xenon ballast, no extra converter or adapter cable required. The robust aluminum housing provides effective heat dissipation, essential for stable, long-lasting light output.
LED vs xenon HID: what's different
Two practical differences come with switching from xenon HID to LED:
- Instant full brightness. No warm-up delay, a xenon arc needs a moment to strike and stabilize, the LED is at full output the instant you switch on.
- Stable color from the first second. Xenon HID bulbs can start slightly pink or blue before settling into their final color as the arc warms up. The LED shows its final color immediately.

Which color temperature should you choose: 4300K or 6000K?
The bulb is available in two color temperatures, pick whichever suits your car and preference:
4300K, warm white (OEM look): the color closest to the original xenon bulb. Gives a slightly yellow tint that most drivers find natural and pleasant. The ideal choice if you want to keep the factory look.
6000K, cool white: a brighter, bluer-white light. Popular for a more modern look. Note: at higher color temperatures, effective light output on the road drops slightly compared to 4300K.
Not sure? Go with 4300K, it's the color closest to your original xenon and gives the best real-world light output.

We test our bulbs ourselves on a calibrated measurement rig conforming to ECE R112/R123, in a real car headlight. In our test, the D-Series LED delivered stable light output after warm-up and a clean beam pattern with minimal stray light above the cutoff, important for both your own visibility and the safety of oncoming traffic.

Easy installation
- Step 1: Remove the original D4S Xenon HID bulb from the headlight
- Step 2: Insert the D-Series LED the same way into the bulb holder
- Step 3: Connect the original ballast connector, no modifications needed
- Step 4: Check the beam pattern and alignment

Frequently asked questions
Does an LED replacement give more light than the original xenon?
A new original xenon bulb typically still produces slightly more light at the critical measurement points than an LED replacement. The perceived difference is often because the original xenon bulb was already aged and producing less light than when it was new. The D-Series LED offers a significant improvement over an aged xenon bulb. If raw light output matters more to you than plug & play LED convenience, the Osram D4S Night Breaker 220 is worth a look.
Will this bulb work with my original ballast?
Yes, the D-Series LED is specifically designed for the original Xenon HID ballast. No conversion or extra hardware is required.
Can I use this bulb if my car has a different D-fitting?
No. D-fittings look similar but are not electrically interchangeable: D1S (85V) and D3S (42V), for example, cannot be swapped, and the same applies to D2S (85V) and D4S (42V). The D-Series LED is designed exclusively for the original Xenon HID ballast that matches your fitting. Not sure which fitting your headlight uses? We are based in Europe (the Netherlands) and we ship worldwide. So shipping to the United States, Australia, Canada etc. is not a problem at all.
All our orders have a track and trace / tracking code, so you can check the progress. The orders are processed by ourselves and send out from our own warehouse.

We are known for our fast deliveries. All delivery times start when we have received your payment. The products that are in stock will normally be shipped within 1 working day. Almost all of our orders will be shipped by tracked parcel shipping. We try to use the best option based on price, delivery speed and service. Most of our shipments are shipped with UPS, sometimes we also use DPD or PostNL.

Tracking shipments
When you choose parcel shipping, you can follow your shipment. You will receive an e-mail from us with a tracking code as soon as your order leaves our door.
Delivery
The carriers for parcel shipping choose their own schedule for deliveries. Remember that you need to be present at the delivery address during working days from 9 till 5 in order to receive your order. It remains your responsibility to make arrangements for the way that the order is received at the delivery address. Orders we sent by envelope will arrive, even if you are not at home.
